When you walk in another’s shoe

We sometimes forget to stop and think of what it is like to walk in another’s shoes. Sometimes it only takes the minute of a stranger’s kindness to change the life of many.

I found this wonderful reminder when visiting a special friend I met on Facebook last year and although he lives in Cairo and we have never met; my friend has opened my eyes to many beautiful things. His loving soul of seeking out and sharing with others the small reminders that kindness does not have to be just about giving money to those in need but only seconds of your life to stop and walk in another person’s shoes can make a difference in a world we share together.

In Niagara a veteran whom I have passed every time I visit, sits in a wheelchair in need of donations. Although I have given him what I can, next time I pass this man I will remember a strangers kindness to make a difference is what he counts on the most.

This short film from the Cannes Festival is very moving, and without many words spoken is very powerful and will make all those who watch stop and think to walk in another person’s shoes.
