Aerosmith’s rise to royalty seems to be on a steep decline when it comes to the future of the bands outcome as confusion continues to rise on the fate of Steve Tyler leaving the band. Tyler in a complete surprise showed up at Joe Perry’s solo gig at Irving plaza in New York joining a stunned Perry on stage and singing the tune “Walk this way” only to turn and walk that way right out the door after the song was done, but not before announcing he ‘wasn’t’ leaving the band. Fans confused with this long standing band together after 37 years of signing with Columbia records and 34 years when their first hit album “Toys in the Attic” is it, or isn’t it, but then again, conflict hasn’t eluded this band since the first departure of Joe Perry and Brad Whitford in 1979 and 1981, so a surprise this is not, but really is Aerosmith really Aerosmith without their front man?
They reunited in 1984 after the band and the “Toxic Twins” completed drug rehab and got their act together once again.
Now as Steve Tyler insists he isn’t leaving but Joe Perry insists the problems between them are not yet over, confusion of their fate of this not so ‘sweet emotion‘.
Despite the bands on again off again quarreling we can keep ‘Livin on the Edge’, by putting our other ‘Toys in the Attic’ and start enjoying the new ones because PS2(ttt) Wii got something to tell you … it sure is fun to put on your own gig, never know who’ll show up to jam with ya!
